Aaaaand the damage.

First the good:
1. I'm not nearly as over on my WAPP as I was last week. So that's a win.
2. My nighttime snacking has gotten a LOT better.
3. I have been very good about both counting/measuring what I eat and getting my workouts in.
4. I somehow lost weight (albeit a little, but still, SOMETHING).
5. I am skipping a post-work function where there will be lots of beer and food to go to the gym.

Now the bad:
1. I had a peanut-butter binge at work a little bit ago.
2. I'm still going over my WAPP. :-/

Hm. Honestly that's really it. I'm not too upset with how I've been doing in general. I mean, I feel kind of down, but then I realize I had treats yesterday and still managed to keep myself in check. That's a win. Today hasn't been great so far, but I know that is going to happen from time to time and I just need to accept that and move forward. Same with Saturday - it was shitty, but we had a party and I counted all that shiz. Not ideal, but better than saying F it.

I didn't have a great day yesterday in general, both work wise and personally, so I feel like it was a big NSV that I didn't go over my DPP. I still have a ways to go, but I'm confident I'm making some mental (and hopefully physical) progress. I'm on W3 of the C25K program and it's kicking my ass. Still can't believe how out of shape I am, but hopefully soon I'll start to feel like some semblance of an athlete again.

Oh another NSV: Went to Dixie Crossroads in Titusville for lunch with Josh, my mom, and my aunt and uncle. Everyone got fried stuff, but I resisted the fried corn fritters and had a glass of beer, a pound and a half of crab legs without butter (even though they brought butter when I didn't ask for it and it spilled all over the plate...), veggies, and about half a sweet potato. I had a couple bites of things, but I'm really proud I was able to stay in control because some of that fried stuff looked legit. The crab was cooked PERFECTLY, though, so that helped.

I don't have any other real food challenges the rest of the week, so I'm going to strive to stay within my DPP these next three days (because it isn't happening today) and get my workouts in. Friday we're going to Jacksonville for Mother's Day/Josh's mom's birthday, so I will need to come up with a game plan for that soon.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

I don't think it's the hormones. I started the diet about the same time as I started with this pill, so I dropped the first 12 pounds without any issue. I think this is just an extended PITA plateau.

I'm not a breakfast person at all, which does help with dieting. I mean, I love brunch as much as the next person, but if I eat breakfast, it's usually as my main meal of the day and I go all out with pancakes or something.

Mike normally only eats once per day, so I'm guessing we'll probably just get a snack lunch during the road trip days and then have a nice dinner somewhere. I'll probably grab some fruit from the breakfast offered at the various hotels to tide me over.

Oh I meant like, since you're skipping your period (which I assume means you're skipping the "sugar pill" week in your pack) your hormones might be out of whack when compared to how they usually are when you're taking the pill regularly, you know?

Actually, there have been lots of studies done that show eating breakfast helps you lose weight because you aren't as hungry when lunch and dinner roll around and are therefore less likely to indulge. What do you eat on like a normal workday for breakfast?

Oh damn. I couldn't deal with that lol I'd be STARVING by dinner and totally eat everything in sight! D: Maybe you could talk to him beforehand about that? IDK, I think it'd help you.

Oh, no - I'm on a pill that's a 24-day pack instead of 21 days, so I actually haven't gotten to the point of starting the new pack yet (indeed - skipping the iron pills). So my body should still be cruising along none-the-wiser for now. Who knows though - hormones are their own monster. Who knows what's going on with those crazy things!

I know that's what they always say, but it doesn't work for me. Since I'm more of a food addict, it's mental for me, not really based on hunger. I prefer having lunch, dinner and a snack instead of breakfast. I save my calories for a treat at night instead of breakfast. If I ate breakfast, it would be hard for me to mentally shave down my lunch/dinner even further, or completely eliminate my sweet treat.

For a bit, I tried having a protein bar in the mornings, but that was the problem I had. I was consuming 100-200 calories first thing but it wasn't changing my habits for lunch. I didn't really want the food first thing, and then I was wasting those calories on something I didn't really want.

He usually defaults to a more normal eating schedule when I'm around - or we have a light snack and then our main meal around 3/4 p.m. Which I'm completely fine with that - that's usually how I roll on the weekends.

Hmm yeah I'm not as familiar with the 24-day packs so IDK but yeah if you haven't even done anything different yet then that definitely isn't it.

Gotcha. Well as long as you aren't starving by lunch. I would be. I crave food as soon as I wake up, sadly. At least you tried it and realized it didn't work for you. Are you drinking a lot of water? That might help.

Oh OK well that's good then! I'm sure you'll be fine. :o)

I'm definitely hungry by lunch, but my portion issues are all mental. When I'm committed/checked in to dieting, even if I'm starving I'll still make smart choices and won't binge. My binges are always emotional. I'm pretty good about stopping when I'm full, UNLESS I'm upset. Once I'm upset, watch out!

I just upped my water intake when we started hitting the gym, so we'll see if that helps in the long run. I'm currently finishing up a 33 oz Smart Water that I started this morning. I WILL TRY ANYTHING right now. LOL.

Well I doubt you'll have any reasons to be upset this week. :o)

NICE, keep chugging. You got this. Have fun in Denver!
