Needless to say I've been controlling myself for the most part the past couple days. Now that the chocolate is out of the apartment and the peanut butter has been soaped and disposed of, I've made my environment a little easier to deal with. Sad but true that I need that, but I can either feel weak or see the acknowledgement of the weakness as actually a strength and move forward. I'm going with the latter because the former obviously hasn't been working for me.

So a big NSV Monday: I actually stuck to my dinner and snack plans and didn't use Disney (where I got to visit briefly with George/hekidanjo and his wife Doreen!) as an excuse to stuff my face with things I didn't need. Plus I got walking points, which is a nice bonus.

Last night, Liz (lizblizz) and I went to Planet Fitness. We did 20-30 minutes of weights/machines and then she did 30 minutes of elliptical and I did C25K W2D...4? IDK, I'm doing the second week twice. Tomorrow is my last day, and then Week 3 will start Saturday; my friend Mels is going to come to the gym with me then. And tonight is yoga with my friend Kinsey. It's nice to have fitness buddies, so we can motivate each other.

Josh and I are hosting a small derby party this Saturday at our place, so I need to be prepared for that. Luckily Mels will be there and she doesn't really drink/is trying to be healthier too, so we can help each other stay on track. I'm definitely thankful for that. I honestly don't need to drink.

Not a whole lot else to say, really. I'll be back tomorrow.

Thank you for saying something! I forgot an end carrot after George's username and it screwed the code all up lol but I promise you were there! xD Hooray, I'm so happy you're joining me again Thursday. Maybe we can focus on abs a little more? IDK, what do you think? I definitely have to get my run in but we can do another 30-45 minutes of strength too!

Yeah! I'd like to do strength and cardio again!

Do you always do strength first before cardio? Back in my gym rat days, I used to alternate between cardio-heavy days and strength days with a little cardio. I'd do 45 minutes of cardio Monday, Wednesday, Friday and then 20 minutes cardio followed by strength training Tuesday/Thursday. Granted, I was a college kid so 5 days in the gym was more feasible. But I know my legs were tired during the cardio yesterday since I did strength first. Is there a method there?

It was nice not to be sweaty while doing the strength and I liked getting to leave immediately after finishing cardio though, I will say that!

Yay awesome! I usually do one or the other but lately I've been mixing it up and doing about 30 min of strength and 30 of running on some days, like we did Tuesday. That order is easier for me because exactly, I'm all sweaty and totally beat after the run, lo. We can try the other way around if you want though. I'd be down! I'm not as worn out yet because I'm doing C25K W2 twice and today is my last day, so it should be OK. :o)

Yeah, my system was different back then. The 20 minutes of cardio was just to get my blood pumping before a full 45 minutes or so of strength. So the cardio wasn't as exhausting - it was more of just a warm-up. I'm fine with doing the strength first and not being so sweaty :)

Hahaha. I'm definitely upping my weights for my legs. I went too easy on myself :) Planning to do pretty much the same circuit I did the other day, but skipping arm exercises today. My arms are too sore!
