Week 1, Day 3

First, I'm about to go update my measurements, so if you're interested, that's the place to be in the next few minutes.

The good news is that I've been really great at sticking to my food plan and am already feeling a bit more energetic and healthier, after only two days of stuffing my face with tons of fruits and veggies to detox from all the junk. I know I am down some weight, so I hope it sticks and that I can resist the weekend bingeing that I am so apt to succumbing to. Work is one thing - I can regulate my food, and I'm distratced with, well, work. Being home with a roommate, going out with Josh and friends, etc. is a different story. I have to be careful when I go to Josh's...pack snacks so I don't munch on his granola bars. Luckily he isn't big on sweets, so he doesn't have bowls of candy lying around. That would be quite the hurdle. But for now, I'm doing well. Still being attacked by the sweets!monster, as you can see from my food logs from the past couple days, but I'm succeeding at keeping it in check. I'm counting that as an NSV – just because I can.

You will also notice that I have NOT been working out. I have been crashing from coffee by the end of the day, and it's totally an excuse, but it's the truth. I have felt so little energy that I don't want to drag myself to the gym. Josh says he is going to drag my ass out of bed to run in the morning, and then I am going to FORCE my ass to LA Fitness at some point on Sunday. I have been justifying the lack of activity by telling myself, "Well, you've been good with food..." And that's true, but I do need to get back into a routine. I know that initiation will be the toughest part, and the longer I wait the more difficult it will be. So I'm going to work on it. I also need to drink more water. I haven't been getting nearly enough, and the heat and humidity is probably making me need even more than my normal amount, so that is something I'll be working on in the coming days as well.

Josh and I aren't going to be able to do that 5K. We're going to be spending time with his family and whatnot, so we'll probably look at another one in the Orlando area in May sometime. I'd like a little longer to train anyway, so I can get a PR and keep up with his lanky self. Boys... ;x

Still determined to get back under 130 come Monday. I know my body can do it, especially in the first week of recommitting.

Hope you are all having a great week. Keep the people in the southern states in your thoughts today.
